doujinshi scans!

Erm, I don't know why I had Ed + Winry + cows as my icon for my latest post. Upset Tsunade was the intent.

I am scanning Zexen knights drama-casting wackiness and attempting once again to get through chapter 25 of Fire Emblem. Once again, it didn't work. Blargh. I hate archers. Enemy archers. My own archers rock.

Okay, so I scanned the doujin story... Yes, it's goofy and OOC, that's what gag stories are for. But look Merc, no babyfaced porn!

Borus: "I play Romeo opposite Chris! Dance of joy!"
Chris: "WAAAHHH I WANTED IT TO BE SALOME!"

Chris: "I know! Someone else can play Juliet! Like Hugo!"

I especially like Nadir chewing on Borus's collar... And as an added bonus, an Apple and Caesar gag - I really, really wish I knew what he said to her. Anybody? Sadly, the URL at the back of the book is already obsolete, so I don't know if they've done anything more than this. Like drama books following up on that Chris/Salome thing. For example.

random stream-of-consciousness

Slightly hyper. I went looking for a fic I'd gotten from a drabble randomizer some time ago; because I had hidden it very cleverly indeed this involved a good bit of digging through folders where it would have been much more logical to save this thing.

For some inexplicable reason I have a file bearing the name "pimpdaddyreno" in my fanfic folder. For the love of God, WHY?! (It's actually Rude speculating on why a guy like Reno gets so many chicks; I don't like womanizer!Reno, but obviously he holds a mysterious allure for women who aren't me, and I give on that if not on his bishie-hood. No, the snippet itself has some reason to exist. The filename, on the other hand... maybe I was drunk.)

A Fire Emblem quote I saved: "I... I've no love for war. If I concentrate on the foe before me, I'm fine. If I picture families, innocents caught up in our foolish politics? If I imagine them... All I can do is pray for a way to solve things peacefully."

Eliwood for President, y'all! I'd also like to take this excuse to applaud the translation, which uses formal and semi-archaic language with correct grammar. Are you LISTENING TO ME, WOOLSEY? This means that things like honorifics can be preserved - there's no way in informal, modern English to accurately translate something like a woman adding "-sama" at the end of her husband's name without making her sound freakish or losing the effect, but I'm pretty sure that's what Louise does when the translation has her calling him "my lord Pent." It works and it makes me happy.

Louise and Pent, by the way, are a married couple so preternaturally good-looking that if they ever reproduce, their offspring surely will only be represented by clouds of shoujo bubbles, because there's no way to accurately depict such superhuman prettiness as their union would create.

And the actual catalyst for this digging - Yuber x Kogoro fic! I saved it in the FF7 folder, which is maybe not exactly the logical thing to do with random-generator fic for a Suikoden crackpairing. But I'm sneaky.
