once again, not dead
Sep. 4th, 2008 07:06 pmClasses are starting again. In one of them, the terrifying specter of in-person group meetings has arisen. NOOOOO DON'T MAKE ME DRIVE IN LA.
Other stuff:
( I really should update more often than quarterly )
Huh, I guess I didn't update for those six weeks because nothing really happened.
So I was going to reread my ASoIF books. Btw Merc, you made a comment ages ago in some post about a series with all the epic battles and not so much of the misery and dead protagonists and murdered babies? The dead protagonists and murdered babies and misery are the point of the series. People read the Westeros books because of the "no one is safe!" thing. Trouble is, that makes them a not very relaxing reread and I'm pretty sure I'll want escapist brain candy this semester, what with all the terrifying driving I may have to do. So can anyone suggest books without dead babies, cancer-stricken children, rape, death, mutilation of small furry animals, Los Angeles traffic, etc? It doesn't have to be fantasy, though that usually helps.
