I figured I might as well go with the comprehensive post and be done with it.
Character: Terra
Class: Hunter
Profession: Leatherworking (OH GOD WHYYYY *weeping and gnashing of teeth*)
Level: 69 and around two-thirds
Status: Hiatus
Plans: I am not playing her except
(a) for that quest at Karabor training grounds and the follow-ups, if everyone will help me get there, because I NEED NEW PANTS,
(b) to solo or duo LBRS, or
(c) to run Mana Tombs, with or without a tank - personally, I think we could four-man it if we just gave the pets time to get aggro instead of opening with the nukes. If anyone's willing to meet me halfway on that I'll even go and tame a warp stalker, since they're more tank-worthy than my flappies.
But I am sick to death of her gear, I am sick of being stuck and unable to advance my crafting, and I'm sick of the Outland level grind. I ain't touching her until some kind of headway is made on instances or SOMETHING. I don't <i>feel</i> like playing her. She bores the crap out of me and I hate her gear. If anyone else wants me to play her, help me make the experience tolerable for myself first.
This, btw, is one of the two reasons I'm mad at Little Napoleon. One was his "hey, at seventy you'll be running mid-60s instances like Mana Tombs! If you had a warrior you could be doing the big ones" comment. I'm pretty sure that was meant as the opener to a sales pitch for his guild; I'm pretty sure his guild does not need hunters in crafted low-to-mid-60s greens with no raid experience. Therefore, if he's trying to recruit me, it's so he can get Nabeshin, and for that, fuck him with a rusty sawblade. I am not joining a raid guild; I still resent raiding for the way it ate my boyfriend back when he was playing on Draenor, although I wouldn't mind a chance to raid with our current guild, once it gets there. But, you know, WITH OUR CURRENT GUILD, where we'd all be learning. I am SURE AS FUCK not joining a hardcore raid guild so my boyfriend can raid and I can be shelved.
The other reason was the comment he made when he came in for the last of Underbog and I lamented that something hadn't dropped the bracers I wanted. He said "you can quest better stuff than anything that will drop here." BULLSHIT. It's all shaman mail past Terokkar; I'm still wearing bracers I got from a Zangarmarsh quest. My last two new pieces of armor (until I went to Blade's Edge specifically to seek out a quest after looking it up on Allakhazam) came from Bone Wastes quests, and they were more sidegrades than anything. I moved into them because they had +int (wtf is up with Blizz and the stamina fetish, anymore?) and because I was sick of the sight of my old gear.

Class: Warrior
Profession: Smithing (not specialized)
Level: 39
Status: Retired for now
Plans: Someday, I may bring her back and respec her fury just to mess around with dual-wielding, since my female Draenei shaman is not going to look cool with fist weapons. But that's really it, and it's not an urgent plan. My rogue may satisfy my urge for punching, I don't know. I just don't much like playing a warrior.

Profession: Weaponsmithing
Level: 41 and a half
Status: Almost my new main
Plans: Level fast, become tank. Short-term, I'm looking forward to Feathermoon Stronghold - one of my favorite parts of the game, along with the Draenei and BE starting areas - and hope to get to exalted with Darnassus so she can buy a kitty mount, because sadly, Draenei look stupid on the paladin charger. I love her; I prefer the shield + one-hander combo to use of two-handers (even though she will be using Destiny through to Outland and probably some way beyond) and Lord knows we need a tank.
I am trying to resist the term "pali." It's hard, because everyone uses it, but I don't like the way internet slang turns every damn noun in the language into a diminutive. "Piccie" is worst, of course, but it's a trend that should be resisted on all fronts.

Level: Nearly 28
Status: Active
Plans: Possible tank. I'm also curious about speccing balance (treant minions!), but I like kitty form a lot for leveling. I would also like to get him exalted with Cenarion Expedition, for the tabard.

Status: Gathering rest XP (haven't played her in a bit, but I haven't retired her)
Plans: GET THE HELL OUT OF THE TWENTIES, so I can level in areas I don't hate. Get the water elemental. It's not like we NEED more mages in the guild, or our group, but I want the water elemental.

Profession: Jewelcrafting
Level: 22
Status: About to embark on, gack, the Menethil and Duskwood quests.
Plans: Enhancement, shooting for dual-wield, though if you look her up on the armory she's all resto for now; I wanted the uninterrupted heals because healing yourself is the real draw to playing a hybrid, and that talent is buried deeper in resto for shaman than for druids. Eventually I may spec resto for endgame five-mans, because teh boyfriend might actually want to play some of his non-priest characters sometimes, and Rauny ain't no healer. Sorry, but I didn't level a class that can wear plate so I could stand in the back and play whack-a-mole with HP bars, I leveled a plate-wearer so I could hit stuff and be hit without dying. Shaman look like good healers to me - maybe no AOE heal, but they can res better than druids can, they have at least one heal-over-time, and they're a bit less squishy than priests, though of course less sturdy than paladins.

Class: Hunter
Profession: Engineering
Level: 21
Status: Leveling occasionally, but she mostly exists so I can have pets I want that Terra didn't snag. And to take advantage of gift of the Naaru in hunter leveling. She's got the strider clutchmother (pain in the ass to tame; she stuns you and breaks taming) and a ghost saber.
Plans: Meh. Battleground twink? Mostly, she's there for engineering, but that's not a vital profession, really, so... meh.

Class: Priest
Profession: Gold farmer (mining/skinning)
Level: 14
Status: Semi-active; priest leveling is slow, but I have an alchemist to send her mana potions and spirit tap is a very handy talent. I'm going at least mostly shadow, though I'm unsure how many points to set aside for the other trees; I know I want holy nova, and there are some nice discipline talents too.
Plans: If I can get her that far, substitute healing when teh boyfriend wants to play another class.
Character: Catara
Class: Rogue
Profession: Gold farmer, most likely - skinning/herbalism, in her case. I like mining but it's hard to level, and everyone says herbalism's a money-maker.
Level: 8
Status: We'll see if I can stand rogues long enough to get her to level 10, at which point I hope dual-wield will make the class worthwhile. My goal is to arm her with fist weapons, because I want a character who will punch things to death. Once I found out rogues could use fist weapons and kick things, I realized, OHH, that's what those Defias who pummel you actually are, and I realized I needed to play a human rogue after all.
Plans: Punching stuff. I imagine the novelty will wear off eventually; then we'll see if she becomes another bank alt, or if I find I like her.

I'm also playing an undead warlock (Malerie) and a Tauren hunter (Ushiko) on Staghelm, my brother's server - since he plays Horde, that's probably my best chance to get in touch with him, though when I checked, his main was only level 61, so my guess is he's taking a break from WoW entirely. And I have a Blood Elf mage named Kefka on Nordrassil (along with a couple of others - BE hunter, a female NE druid and a dwarf paladin.) I adore the undead lock - Life Tap + Cannibalize = <3.
