I'd forgotten Princess Shireen had greyscale at one point; Tyrion's chapter and the reaction of Val indicate that this is a much bigger problem than anyone around Shireen seems to think.
I thought Asha was going to be burned at the stake, but nope. OMG Theon and Jeyne lived! Arya's making progress at being a Faceless Man, and has her sight back. Cersei is sentenced to walk naked from her prison to the castle, which is not worse than she deserves, but it's for the wrong reasons. And OH NO I think Gregor Clegane may still be alive.
Barristan is conspiring with one of Dany's loyal Meereenese advisors, and OMG HUZZAH thinking back to the tourney at Harrenhall. He too was in love with Ashara Dayne! Ashara's daughter was stillborn and he thinks of Ned as having dishonored her. Hmmm. He has more reason to know than most, so that does seem to rule out Ashara and Ned as Jon's parents (and to mean that Ned did, in fact, sleep with Ashara at one point.) A lot of signs seem to be pointing toward Rhaegar/Lyanna parentage for Jon.
At the end of the Barristan chapter we find out the dragons are loose. And in Quentyn's chapter, we find out that this is likely to be his doing and OMG QUENTYN DON'T DIE. Oh no. I think Quentyn's going to die. :(
OKAY I AM REALLY NOT IN THE MOOD FOR A JON SNOW CHAPTER RIGHT NOW.
Ramsay Bolton has defeated Stannis, he claims, captured Mance Rayder, and skinned Mance's spearwives. He wants Reek and his bride back, which means Theon and Jeyne got away (and Asha, I hope.) Jon works out a new plan.

Things in Meereen are falling apart. Barristan has a plan, but I'm too sad to pay much attention.
DANY'S ALIVE. And nearly gets herself killed trying to head back to Meereen, but reunites with Drogon. She's standing by him when she encounters Khal Jhaqo.
Epilogue is plotting and maneuvering in King's Landing. Kevan seems a lot more decent than Tywin ever was, which is a relief.
EXCEPT THAT HE GETS KILLED TOO. By Varys! And Varys's army of creepy children.

JON! I still can't believe that happened. I know hypothetically anyone can die in these books, but Jon really seemed sacred.
