Okay, comfortable with theme and setup now, getting the hang of Gimp enough to make my own icons, and what do you know, people actually want to talk about things I want to talk about here?  I am unfamiliar with this kind of thing happening to me in fandom!  

I doubt I'll be super-active.  I have a two-year-old - some days I don't have the energy to stick a couple of reblogged gifsets into the queue on Tumblr, let alone type actual words in complete sentences and shit.  But it might be worth sticking around here.

less activity, in comparison to tumblr, is expected, i think. crafting words takes longer than reblogging images. i think some people (like me) are very active bc of excitement to be going back to this kind of platform. in the end, i think dreamwidth favors quality over quantity. so i don't there's any need to post every other day or even every week, just say something when you have something to say.

i don't know about american customs, but in my country we congratulate people when we learn they've had a child, so i think this is due: congratulations! may you and your family be happy.
